In the following notice, "we", "our" or "us" means BARDOT and any related bodies corporate. Personal Information means any information that can be identified about an individual (not a business).
We recognise the trust you put in us, when you supply us with your personal information. The purpose of this notice is to also make sure that you are aware of a range of matters relating to our ongoing collection, use and disclosure of personal information.
The personal information that we collect about you will only be collected with your consent AFTER you have been informed of the purposes and consequences of providing this information. The type of information we collect includes, your name, address, telephone number, and billing information. We do not usually collect any sensitive information about you such as your health, criminal history or political beliefs;
Generally, the only personal information we collect about you is that which you choose to tell us. This may be when you contact us, write to us, apply for a service, or make a payment.
We may also collect information from: a friend or someone who refers our services to you; the vendor of any business we acquire; a wholesale service provider who is involved in the provision of a service to you; a marketing bureau or third party contractor (including one of our dealers or resellers); and a credit reporting agency, where we conduct a credit check.
Examples of the customary purposes for which information may be used or disclosed are: Register a Customer complaint to resolve issues; Improve services and product quality from Customer feedback; Enter competitions/promotions; Inform valued Customers of special offers; to comply with the law; credit management and debt recovery; provide and promote our goods and services to you;to maintain and develop our business systems. Where we use personal information to give you promotional information about our goods and services, you may choose to ‘opt out’ of receiving this information, just let us know.
We will not sell your personal information to any person or organisation without your consent, unless it is part of a sale of our business. We may disclose your personal information to: our dealers and resellers; any other party who may assist us in providing or promoting our goods and services to you (such as a marketing agency, or a wholesaler supplier); a debt collector or credit reporting agency, where you default in payment; a prospective investor in, or purchaser of our business; a person who introduces you to us under member/ referral programs; a bank to authorise a payment; to non related legal entities by way of to BC Clothing P/L, James Marlon P/L and SASCO Accessories P/L; law enforcement; any party we are required to by law.
We store your information in both electronic and paper form. We take all reasonable precautions to protect these records from misuse or unauthorised access by using physical, electronic and procedural safeguards.
There are, however, some circumstances where you may be denied access to your information. Our Privacy Officer will advise if any of these circumstances apply.
